IN THE TOWN OF MARYPORT
|
The Museum is on the Sea Brows at the north end of the town. There is ample free parking. Small brown signs, bearing a Roman helmet, have been put up to help you find the way. From the junction of the main roads by the Parish Church, follow the signs into Wood Street. Take the second right turn into Crosby Street. Continue heading north and up hill; exit Fleming Square (obelisk and cobbles) along Camp Street; then turn left into Ingleby Terrace and right along the Promenade (Sea Brows). From the harbour area, the Museum is visible, at the north end of the row of buildings on the cliff top. It is a 15 minute walk, and there are a variety of possible routes. By car, head back into town along Senhouse Street, then left up High Street and right along Wood Street into Fleming Square (see local map) |
